Indications

Aristocrom Drops is used in the allergic conditions of the eye including acute and chronic allergic conjunctivitis and vernal keratoconjunctivitis. It is also used in the prophylaxis and treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. Prophylactic treatment for seasonal allergic rhinitis should begin 2 to 3 weeks before exposure to the offending allergen and should continue throughout the season.

Chemical Composition

Each ml contains Sodium Cromoglicate 20 mg.

Packaging

Each plastic dropper bottle contains 10 ml drops.

Dosage & Administration

Eye Drops: For Child and Adult: 1 drop into each eye four to six times daily. Nasal Drops: For Child and Adult: 1 drop to each nostril 4-6 times daily.

Contraindications

Transient burning and stinging have occasionally been reported following use of Sodium Cromoglicate eye drops.

Side Effects

Mild throat irritation, coughing, & transient bronchospasm with a marked fall in pulmonary functions has been reported. In such cases treatment should be stopped and should not be re-introduced.

Drug Interaction

Sodium Cromoglicate has no known drug interaction.
