Indications

in the region of the head and neck. Acute and traumatic conditions of the limbs and trunk : sprains, strains, whiplash injuries, acute torticollis , prolapsed intervertebral disc.

Chemical Composition

Each uncoated tablet contains Orphanadrine Citrate BP : 35 mg , Paracetamol BP : 450 mg

Dosage & Administration

1-2 tablet, 3 times a day or as directed by physicians.Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Contraindications

Glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy or obstruction at the bladder neck, myasthenia gravis, oesophageal spasm and pyloric or duodenal obstruction. Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or Orphenadrine citrate.

Side Effects

rphenadrine Citrate: Common (dose-related, anticholinergic effects): Dry mouth, tachycardia, palpitations, urinary hesitancy/retention, blurred vision, pupil dilation, increase ocular tension, weakness, nausea, headache, dizziness, constipation, drowsiness. Often relieved by dose reduction. Less common: Sedation, skin rash, allergic reactions. Rare: Mental confusion (especially in elderly). Very rare: Aplastic anaemia. Paracetamol - Dyspepsia, nausea, allergic reactions, hematologic reactions.

Drug Interaction

Orphenadrine Interacts with phenothiazines and other antimuscarinic drugs.Avoid concomitant alcohol or other CNS depressants. Paracetamol Prolonged use may require reduced anticoagulant dosage. Absorption increase with metoclopramide; decrease with propantheline, anticholinergic antidepressants, and narcotic analgesics. May increase chloramphenicol concentrations. Risk of toxicity increase with enzyme-inducing agents (e.g., alcohol, anticonvulsants).
